MAKING Star Fall · Episode 02
Finding Koa: a pirate with a mechanical streak.
A tricorn, compass and red sash gave our red panda her own silhouette. Tide Rover carries the practical pirate spirit into her catcher.
00:50 · English captions · Sound optional
A tricorn, a compass and a red sash gave our red panda pilot a clearer sense of adventure.
A capable starting point
Koa began with a practical workshop look: cap, headset, tools and a mechanical wrist brace. The red panda markings and white-edged ears were already visible. But we wanted a stronger identity for her among the crew.
Trying the pirate direction
The next revision kept the teal and brass mechanical details and changed the costume around them. A broad tricorn replaced the work cap. A long coat, cream shirt and red sash gave the silhouette a more adventurous character. The open compass made her direction visible in a single prop.
What stayed
Her red panda face, ringed tail, practical clothing and mechanical streak remained. This was a costume and presentation decision, not a claim about new game abilities. The comparison uses two retained development illustrations, rather than footage of live drawing.
